The test
$1,000 initial + $150/month x 60 = $10,000, run from 2021-08-18 to 2026-08-18. Every distribution reinvested on the day it arrived. Every purchase made at the closing price on the first trading day of its month.
A fund that began trading after the window opened runs the same schedule from its own first trading day instead. Its figures are published, grouped apart, and marked as not comparable with the funds that took the whole schedule. The ranking covers only the funds that received all sixty monthly deposits.
The prices
Every figure here is measured on market price, the raw close. That is what a buyer at market actually got, and it is not the fund's own end-of-day valuation, which is what issuer fact sheets report.
What we do not know, and how we say so
A blank cell tells a reader nothing, and a zero can mean two different things. So every absence on this site is one of three, and they are written differently on purpose.
| What it says | What it means |
|---|---|
| measured, the fund paid nothing | The fund distributes and paid nothing over the window. That is a measurement, and it renders as $0.00. |
| by design, not a measurement | The structure cannot pay. A corporate-class total-return wrapper does not distribute, so there is no figure to measure. |
| not sourced yet | We have not gone and got it. It is not a fact about the fund, it is a fact about us. |
What a review will not print
A figure appears in a review only when the record behind it carries the sentence it was read from, the document that sentence came from, and the date it was read. A number we hold without that record is a lead, and a lead informs our reading without reaching the page. Where a review declines to report something, it says which of those is missing.
If a source refuses an automated reader, that is where we stop. We do not route around it, and "we could not verify this" is a complete answer.
